Ingredients

  • spinach - 1 packet
  • toor dhal - 1/2 cup
  • onion-1(small)
  • tomato-1(small)
  • garlic-3 pods 
  • mustard-1tsp
  • urad dhal-1/2 tsp
  • red chillies -3
  • ginger minced-1/2 tsp

 

Preparation method

  • add spinach, toor dhal. onion,tomato and garlic in the cooker and pressure cook it for 3 whiles
  • smash the dhal -spinach mixture n set aside
  • take a skillet, add mustard, urad dhal. once it splutters, add dry red chillies and minced ginger .. stir it for 1 imnute
  • then add the spinach -dhal mixture and allow it to boil for few minutes.. add salt to taste
  • remove from flame and serve it wid steemed rice.. this goes well with papads n crisps
