Ingredients

  • Fresh Peas  1 cup
  • Basmati Rice 1 cup
  • Ginger Garlic paste - 1 tsp 
  • onion-1
  • Jeera/ Cumin 1 tsp
  • Cloves  2-3
  • Cinnamon  2"
  • Cardamon  2
  • Bay leaf  2
  • Salt to taste
  • Ghee 1 tsp
  • Water 1 cup
  • cocununt milk - 1cup(optional)
  • coriander leaves -2tsp
  • mint leaves-2tsp
  • Roasted cashew for garnish
  • Coriander leaves for garnish
 

Preparation method

  • Wash and soak rice for 15 mins
  • Heat a pan with ghee, add the whole spices, saute well. add onions and saute it for 2 minutes, add green chillies, Then add ginger garlic paste. Let it get cooked well.
  • Then add  peas , coriander and mint leaves and simmer with a lid covered. for 3 minutes
  • Next add the drained rice  to the rice cooker , add the peas mixture  Add water, cocunut milk and salt. , stir it and switch it on
  • remove after its done, then garnish with cashews and coriander leaves.
