Ingredients

  • Carrot (grated) - 3
  • milk - 2 cups
  • ghee- 3 tsp
  • sugar- 1 cup
  • cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
  • saffron - 2-3 strands
  • cashews- 5, raisins- 3, almonds-4 

 

Preparation method

  1. heat ghee in a pan, and roast cashews, almonds, etc and keep it aside
  2. then add the grated carrot and saute it , till the moisture escapes
  3. then add milk to the pan , and add sugar to it. allow them to cook for a while, til the sugar dissolves and it comes in halwa consistency.
  4. then simmer it , add cardomom powder and saute it nicely
  5. you can also add khoa to it now(its optional)
  6. saute it, allow them to cook, til the ghee leaves the sides of the pan..
  7. then add the roasted cashews,almonds and serve
  8. serve either hot or at room temperature.
