Ingredients

  • Basmati rice - 1cup(COOKED)
  • grated carrot= 1 cup
  • onion - 1/2 
  • green chillies - 2
  • cumin seeds- 1/4tsp
  • bay leaf-1, cinnamon-1,cloves -2
  • salt to taste 
  • curry leaves 
  • turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  • garam masala - 1/2 tsp
  • ghee - 2 tsp
  • cashews - 5
  • oil as required

Preparation method

  1. heat oil in the pan, add cummin seeds, cinnomon, cloves and bay leaf
  2. add onios , green chillies and saute it till it turns pink
  3. add grated carrot , curry leaves, saute for a while , add turmeric , chilli powder and salt
  4. once the carrot is done, add garam masala and cilantro
  5. finally add the cooked rice and adjust the salt
  6. add lemon rice 1 tsp(optional)
  7. serve with papads or chips.
