Ingredients

  • freshly scraped coconut- 1/2 cup.
  • Green chillies- 4.
  • Salt to taste 
  • PottuKadalai- 2 tsp.
  • ginger- 1 piece.
  • tamrind paste - 1/2 tsp
  • cashew 
  • roasted channa dhal
  • coriander leaves - few
  • water

For tadka:

  • Mustard - 1 tsp,
  • Urad Dhal- 1tsp,
  • cumin seeds
  • pinch of hing
  • Curry Leaves- 1 sprig.
 

Preparation method

  1. Grind all the ingredients with a little water to form a smooth chutney like consistency.
  2. Take a small skillet , add a spoon of oil and when hot, splutter mustard seeds, add urad dhal , cumin seeds , hing and curry leaves .. saute for some time and add it on the ground coconut chutney.
  3. Serve with Idlis, Dosas, Pongal, kitchadi or Upma.
