Ingredients

  • Boiled basmati rice.= 3 cups
  • Cooked green gram= 1 cups
  • Ghee=2tbsp
  • Mustard=1 tsp
  • Asafeotida=pinch
  • Red chillies=4 nos
  • Curry leaves= a sprig
  • Roasted & powdered urad dal=2 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder=1/4 tsp
  • Salt to taste.
 

Preparation method

  1. Heat ghee in a kadai and splutter mustart seeds , add a pinch asafeotida ,red chillies and curry leaves
  2. Add  turmeric and urad dal powder into the pan and sauté it well in slow fire
  3. Add green gram and boiled rice, stir it well
  4. add salt and cook this in slow fire stirring continuously
  5. Serve with a strong pickle
